Annabel Vaughan is a BCIN certified graduate architect and principal of publicLAB RESEARCH + DESIGN
Annabel has a deep understanding and appreciation for the way architecture operates within the city's political + cultural fabric. Cities are the stage for cultural production - the space between buildings - the space of the city - creates the public realm, provides a platform for art, produces street life and sets the stage for citizen engagement. She contributes to this discourse about architecture, change and cities as a designer, teacher, writer, cultural organizer and curator.
While working at Birmingham & Wood Architects and Planners, she collaborated closely with the firms Principals on all aspects of research, design, production and project construction. Work to date includes projects ranging from small-scale landscape architecture insertions, civic and residential building designs, and urban design research.
